Trike concepts: two wheels in front or in back?

Among the different wheel arrangements available in the market, the “Delta” geometry used by Hase Bikes stands out as offering a wide range of unique advantages.
The “Delta” principle entails two rear wheels and one directional wheel at the front. This means that the rider is seated between the front and rear axle. Below we list some of the key arguments in its favour.

Small turning circleA small turning circle is very useful when riding along sinuous roads and when parking the bike.

Good ground clearanceGround clearance is crucial for any offroad excursion. In an urban context, where steps and ramps are to be found, the ground clearance is also an important component of safety and accessibility. Due to its low profile design, the Linear shifting system offers a greater separation between chain and ground (the Linear shifting system is not available for the Trigo models).

Great access to the seatGreat clearance to access the seat. The handle bars can be used as grip to facilitate the movement.

Vertical parking functionAll Hase trikes are capable of vertical parking, allowing the bike to be stored in tight spaces.

Trike trailer optionAny Hase trike can easily be attatched to a normal bike with a Weber hitch. (The trailer option is not available for the Trigo models.)

2WD with differential offers great climbing abilityWhen combined with a differential, the two wheel drive (2WD) offers a unique uphill performance, no matter the terrain. Adding a Shimano Steps motor will turn this trike into an insatiable climber!

Trike tandem optionTwo Hase trikes can be attatched together.

Top handle bar option with for the TRIGO UP modelThe top handle bar offers direct steering, a wide range of adjustments. This feature gives the rider better control on the shifters, brakes and motor display and a better view of the road.

Higher seatHigher seat offers better visibility to other vehicles.
